It inspires me to play a bit differently than I do with my other speakers, and I really like that about it. But those looking for something different, and not looking to achieve a very specific sound may like them. It definitely doesn't yield that stereotypical Blackface tone and feel. The highs are very bright and cutting, yet manage to have a certain sweetness to them at the same time.Īs I already mentioned, I really need to spend more time with it and give it a good break-in. "mid focused", and "Clear bright highs" definitely rings true though. I'm very surprised that they describe this speaker as "very warm" though, as there's really nothing warm about this speaker imo. Not sure if that's a "Jenson thing"? Very "vintage" sounding due to a lack of a better word. It really has its own unique tone and feel that's unlike any other speakers I've tried. I do enjoy it though, and really like the sweet highs. There are things I like about it, but the hard mids and bright highs may become a bit fatiguing after a while. It was their recommendation for my Super clone.
